James Randall "Randy" Short, 52 of Huntington, WV, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 27, 2020. He was born April 27, 1968 in Huntington, WV the son of the late, Jim and Jean (Bash) Short. He was employed with Autism Services Center, and faithfully attended Christ Temple Church. He is a graduate of Vinson High School and attended Marshall University (both of which he was a member of the marching band). He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Lisa Dawn Price Short of Huntington, WV; one son, Randall Edward "Eddie" Short, two daughters, Ciara Dawn Short and Scarlett Faith Short; one sister, Cindy Short of Huntington, WV, one brother, Michael (Kristi) Short of Huntington, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was an avid lover of marching band and drum corps. Randy’s pride and joy was his family, who loves him very much. He showed compassion and love to everyone he met, and always brightened people’s day with corny jokes. Here is the last joke Randy wanted to share: “My ice sculpture business went into liquidation!” Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Christ Temple Church, 2400 Johnstown Rd. Huntington, WV with Pastor Chuck Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM service time on Monday at the church.
