Obituary

William Roberts
(February 6, 1943 - July 19, 2019)

Mr. William (Bill) Malcolm Roberts, 76, was born on February 6, 1943, and he passed away peacefully on July 19, 2019. He is pre-deceased by his parents: Mr. Milton Roberts and Mrs. Blanche (Singer) Roberts. He will certainly be missed and remembered dearly by his sister, Ms. Nancy Kathleen Nanney, and his many cousins and friends. Indeed, his loving and loyal nature was truly appreciated. Bill was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He attended MacDowell Elementary School and Mumford High School. He prepared for and had his bar mitzvah at Congregation Shaarey Zedek. Bill graduated from Wayne State University, where he earned a BA Degree in Psychology. For many years, he lived in California where he displayed his excellent musical talent playing piano in a variety of local venues. In 2014, he moved from Redwood City, California, to Vienna, West Virginia, which was near where his sister was living at the time. Later, he resided in Huntington, West Virginia, where he received quality skilled nursing care at the Huntington Health and Rehab Center. Over the years, Bill shared many special interests and occasions with family and friends. He felt it was valuable to learn about different cultures, and he supported socially just causes that were close to his heart. He also had a lively sense of humor that provided those who knew him many enjoyable, long-lasting memories. Bill will certainly be remembered warmly as the special, kind, intelligent, and talented person that he was.
