Obituary

Alvis Bradley Maynard
(June 22, 1951 - December 27, 2019)


Alvis Bradley Maynard, 68 of Huntington, WV passed away Friday, December 27, 2019  at St. Mary's Medical Center.  He was born June 22, 1951 in Logan County, WV a son of the late Burl and Ann St. Clair Maynard, Sr. He was a retired PAT Union Member having worked as a painter and dry wall installer.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Burl Farley Maynard, Brother Kenneth "Tiny" Maynard; four sisters, two infant and Betty Jo Maynard and Mabel Pierce; and one nephew little Ralph Thacker.  Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Sally L. Maynard; one son Joshua Maynard, four daughters:  Angela Maynard, Kimberly Maynard Dean (Bud), Kandace Maynard Taylor (Matt),  and Krystal Maynard Hemphil (Billy).  In addition, he is also survived by two step-sons, Roger A. Hodge, Jeffery L. Hodge ( Autumn Eve) and one step-daughter, Misti Caldwell; and the following grandchildren: Johnithan Clark, Dakota Adkins, Kyersten Hemphil, Ryan Maynard, Johnathan Taylor, Aaron and Ian Dean, Derik E. Bowen "Catbird", and Brison J. Bowen "Scooter" .  Also surviving is two great-grandchildren: Aidan and Keelan Clark and several nieces, nephews and friends.  There will be no services, nor visitation. Reger Funeral Home, Ceredo-Kenova Chapel will be assisting the family.
