Delbert Lee Simmons
(July 11, 1943 - June 2, 2021)

Delbert Lee Simmons, 77, of Huntington, WV went home to Heaven on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. He was a retiree from American National Rubber where he was affectionately known as “Boo”. He loved to fish, he loved to laugh, and he loved his sweet church family at Jackson Avenue Church of God Holiness in Huntington, WV where he attended for over 50 years serving faithfully as a deacon and usher. Most importantly he loved his Lord and Savior. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Deanna Simmons; two daughters, Carla (Scott) Hathaway, and Tara (Wayne) Bennett; and three grandsons, Caleb Hathaway, Jonathan Hathaway, and Seth Goodpaster. His service will held by Pastor Randy Lavender at Jackson Avenue Church of God Holiness on Monday, June 7th 2021. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 am with the service beginning at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Susie Chapel Cemetery in Huntington, WV. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
