Obituary

Paul Denver Bailey, Jr.
(October 26, 1940 - May 15, 2021)



Paul Denver Bailey, Jr., 80 of Huntington, WV passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at his residence.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at he Reger Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Roger Mooney.  Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.  Paul was born October 26, 1940 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Paul Denver Bailey, Sr. and the late Edith Fife Bailey Hester.  In addition, he was preceded in death by two children: William Pelfrey, Paula Deneverla Bailey and her husband Nick Denof; two grandsons, Kyle Matthew Bailey, Steven St. Clair; two brothers, Terry Lee Bailey, James Alton Bailey, one sister, Edith McCormick and a son in law John Sweeney.  Survivors include, his wife Melody Winals Bailey, four sons: Greg (Kim) Bailey, Troy (Diane) Bailey, Darren (Margaret) Bailey, James (Crystal) Bailey; three daughters: Beverly Sweeney, Tiffany Bailey and Candace Bailey, and a daughter-in-law Crystal Pelfrey.  He also has seventeen grandchildren surviving him: Apphia Castillo, Larry St. Clair, April Gardner, Megan Bailey, Tara McKnight, Brian Dement, Julia Armstrong, David Denof, Chad Bailey, Scottie Midkiff, Christopher Simpson, Cassidy Bailey, Ka-Lel Bailey, Serenity Bailey, Kadence Pelfrey, Kiki Eubank and Ryan Ballard; also fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charley (Kathy) Bailey, Rocky Bailey and four sisters: Mary Whitmore, Hazel (June) Holley, Nancy (Kendall) Shields, Sandra Bailey, several nieces and nephews, special friends, John Roy (Janelle) Adams and special friend and sister-in-law Mona Whittaker.  Paul was a Veteran of the US Army  the owner of Bailey Stone and Marble and a long time member of Kellogg Church of God Holiness.    Friends may call from Noon until 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Reger Funeral Home.
