Jessica Ann James Eplin
(November 20, 1963 - March 29, 2011)



Jessica Ann James Eplin, 47 , of Salt Rock went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born November 20, 1963, in Huntington, WV, the third child to the late Lyle Edward (Mickey) James and the late Janice Marie Adkins James. Jessica leaves behind her husband of 28 years, Ronald Timothy Eplin, who loved and adored her and was smitten the first time he saw her in October of 1979. Also surviving is her stepmother, Barbara James; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca and Jim McComas, Shelly and Don Braley, Michelle McFee, Rhonda Ullom, Morgan and Jesse Smith and Laura Aliff; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pastor Ronald and Dottie Eplin; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Tami and Rex Chapman, Tarah and James Perry; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Gerard Oakley and his staff, and the chemotherapy staff at Edwards Cancer Center for their care and kindness. Also, the Salt Rock Senior Center and the Friends of Jessie Eplin Benefit; notably Jim Gill, Linda Porter and Russell Hutchinson; and aunt and uncle Janis and Buddy Eplin who always seemed to show up at the right time; special friends, Pearl Porter and Stacy Banzon. Jessica was known at her front door and the Barboursville Farmers Market as the Egg Lady, her continuous smile and friendliness will be sorely missed and long remembered. She attended Barboursville High School. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Church where she served as Communion Steward, Sunday School teacher, and custodian. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Mt. Calvary Church, Salt Rock, by Brother James Jobe and Pastor Ronald Eplin. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville and after noon Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702.
