Glenna Lea
(Nelson) Fetty, 65, wife of Norvell A. “Butch” Fetty, of
Huntington passed away Saturday,
June 9, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at
Beard Mortuary,
Huntington, with the Rev.
Steve Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in
Woodmere
Memorial Park.
She was born February 24, 1942 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the
late Robert H. and Tenna Marie (Finley) Nelson. She was
also preceded in death by her son, Jennings Michael Maynard; father-in-law,
Norvell A. Fetty, Sr. and mother-in-law, Elenor (Maynard) Fetty.
Mrs. Fetty chose to be a homemaker and was a loving and devoted wife,
mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband, she
is survived by one son and two daughters-in-law, Jeffery Allen and April
Fetty of Huntington and Shelley Maynard of Lavalette; one daughter and
son-in-law, Shelly and James A. Vaughn of Milton; four grandchildren, Amber
Maynard, Jared Maynard, Brandon Vaughn and Rachel Fetty; two great grandsons
on the way, Baby Boy Maynard and Baby Boy Rice; five sisters, Pauline
Maynard of Huntington, Marjorie Arthur of Huntington, Nellie Horn of Wayne,
Roberta Adkins and her husband, Carl of Welston, OH and Rose Boyes and her
husband, Kenneth of Wayne; one brother, Robert “Bob” Nelson of St. Joes
Beach, FL; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sharon and James “Jim”
Thornburg; her step mother-in-law, Rebecca “Joy” Fetty and a host of nieces,
nephews and friends. She will be forever loved and
deeply missed by all of those who knew her. Friends may
call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 11 at Beard Mortuary.
