Obituary
Arnold Walter Booth, 93, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 and is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born April 30, 1917 in Wayne, W.Va. Arnold was a charter member of Church in the Valley, Milton, a surveyor with the Civilian Conservation Corps, a decorated WWII Army veteran and a retiree from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he was an aerial photographer. He is the son of McPherson and Sarah Booth. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Earl, Shirley and Paul Booth. Arnold is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lydia Mae (Green) Booth; daughter, Jennifer (Paul) Cook, of Huntington; sons, M.D. Booth (Claudia) of Sellersburg, IN and Roger Booth of Indianapolis, IN; and brother, Don (Norma) Booth. Also surviving are his seven grandchildren Michael D. Booth, Jr., Adam Booth, Lindsay Booth, Travis Booth, Jessica (James) Cutlip, Megan Cook, and Matthew Cook. His surviving two great-grandchildren are Andrew Matteson, Jr. and Samuel Cutlip. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Dr. Stan Maynard officiating. Visitation will be observed one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Huntington.
