Obituary
WILMA MELROSE, 100, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. She was born Aug. 11, 1912, a daughter of the late Walter Corydon and Nora (Holley) Melrose. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Willis Melrose; two sisters, Lorena (Bill) Seegmiller, Sarah (Gene) Mathews; and one nephew, Bill Seegmiller. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Stephen Mathews of Ashland, Ky., Judy (Larry) Faust of Florida, Pat Seegmiller of Virginia, Holly Snow of Huntington, and Bill (Cindi) Mathews of Columbus, Ohio; great-nieces and nephews, Dean Mathews of Ashland, Kevin (Katie) Snow of Huntington, David Snow of Charleston, W.Va., William Tyler Seegmiller of Huntington, Heather Dorsey of South Carolina, Kim Dorsey of Washington, D.C., Jacob Stone of Kentucky, Erin (Nick) Wesol of Virginia, and Rachel Stone of South Carolina; and great-great-nieces, Alexis Mathews, Ashley Mathews and Allison Mathews, all of Ashland, Ky. Wilma was proud to have worked 34 years at Appalachian Power. She loved spending time with family and to garden. She was quite a historian on the businesses in Huntington and loved to tell you about the theaters. Wilma was also an avid Marshall Football fan. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, with Reverend Kevin Snow officiating at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, W.Va.
