LEROY EUGENE
HOLLAND
(August 23, 1949 - February 4, 2014)
LEROY EUGENE HOLLAND,
64 of Huntington, W.Va., passed away on Tuesday February 4, 2014, at St.
Mary's Medical Center after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held
on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Chris Roberts of 26th Church of
Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. on Tuesday. He was born August
23, 1949, in Huntington, the son of the late Roy M. and Betty Blain Holland.
He was retired from the Veteran's Administration. He was an Army veteran
having served in the Vietnam War. He attended Marshall University and the
Dayton Art Institute and was a member of the Moose Club Lodge 2586. Leroy
was a gifted artist and enjoyed his hobby of restoring antique cars. He is
survived by a sister Martha (Russell) Kouns of Lexington, Ky.; a brother
Everett (Joyce) Holland a niece Kristin (Stephen) Robinson of Huntington; a
nephew Shawn K. Howard of Oklahoma and a great-niece Zoe Robinson, a host of
friends including special friends Gary Black and Ronnie Adkins and his
friends at Jolly Pirate Donut. Leroy shared the gift of life so others could
live, by being an organ donor.
