Thula Frances Linkfield
(April 11, 1919 - July 11, 2014)



THULA FRANCES LINKFIELD, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday July 11, 2014 at Wayne Nursing & Rehabilitation. Graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodmere Memorial Park Abbey of Remembrance with Rev. Andrew Magnusson officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. She was born April 11, 1919 in Crab Orchard, KY the daughter of the late Octave and Hattie Chandler Cummins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 ½ years, Paul Linkfield and five sisters, Nell Cummins, Lola Braley, Ann Ferguson, Jeanette Cummins and Lucy Knight. She attended Baptist Temple and was a faithful member of the Berean Bible Class. She is survived by special friends and caregivers, Chester and Tudy Toney of Huntington; four nieces, and several great nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the special care Thula was given by the staff at Wayne Nursing & Rehabilitation and also for the loving care given by Hospice of Huntington. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Activities Department at Wayne Nursing & Rehab., 6999 Rt. 152, Wayne, WV 25570, or Hospice of Huntington. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
