BETTY JEAN BIAS

BETTY JEAN BIAS, 88, of Huntington, Widow of David "Nig" Bias, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Heritage Center, Huntington. She was born on September 4, 1925 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Alton Jack and Ruby Lee (Sullivan) Hale. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Artis. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Anderson Bias; son, David "Butch" Bias; grandchildren, Andrea Anderson and Eric Anderson; sister, Carolyn Sue (Paul) Powers; brothers, Jackie Hale and Bob (Linda) Hale; brother-in-law, Chester Artis; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bias was a homemaker and a member of the 26th Street Baptist Church. The family wishes to thank the third floor staff and friends at Heritage Center for all of their caring and kindness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May, 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the mortuary.
