Richard A. Young

Richard A. Young, 73 of Huntington, WV passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after 1:00 p.m. He was born August 12, 1943 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Wesley and Bessie Peal Young. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Howard Young and a brother, Howard Sarver. He was an Air Force Veteran having served in Vietnam. He was retired from Steel of WV. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Byrd Young; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Steven Kingsley of Lake Havasu City, AZ; a step-son, Michael Mayes and wife, Elizabeth of Huntington and step-daughter, Marty McLaughlin of Boston, Mass; a brother, Glen Allen Young and wife, Joan of Huntington; a sister, Carolyn Yvonne Hudson and husband, Buddy of Los Angeles, CA; thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
