Obituary

Patricia Jean (Winters) Meadows
(September 17, 1932 - July 4, 2020)

Patricia J. “Patty”  Meadows went home to be with the Lord July 4, 2020. There she will be reunited with her beloved husband Roy J. Meadow.  loving daughter Kathy Meadows Webb, infant great grandson Charlie Roy McGuire, her Daddy Elbert Winters, her Mother Ola Cooper Winters, her sisters Mildred Harbour and Eloise Faulkner.  Also a special niece Sherre Harbour Chapman.  In life she was interested in everything and everyone.  She always wanted to know what was going on in your life and the life of your family.  She loved music.  She grew up at Sunset Baptist Church where her Daddy and sister lead the choir.  Her Mother played the piano.  She passed the love of music down to her family.  She continued to sing in the choir in her church until the world shut down for COVID.  She even sang in the last Christmas Cantata.  This is so special because the last years of her life she was blind.  She sang the old hymns by heart and she would listen to the new music and memorize the words.  She was strong, smart independent, talented and beautiful.  She loved the Lord.  She loved her family.  She loved her Olive Missionary Baptist Church family.  The home that she made was a home full of love.  That was the house where everyone felt welcome from family to friends.  She leaves behind her devoted daughter and son-in-law Lisa and David Reynolds.  Son-in-law Robert “Bob” Webb.   Grandchildren, Mark Webb, Gina Chapman Murphy (Shane), Adam (Lori) Reynolds and Whitney (Ryan) McGuire.  Great grand children Cole, Cami and Nolan Reynolds.  Ava, Emelia, Noah and Zachary McGuire.  Also she leaves behind a special nephew Jim Harbour a special great niece Erin “Blissy” Robertson, caregiver Linda Sayre and special friend John Crowder. Thank you to Cabell County Community Services, Cabell Huntington Hospital Home Health and Hospice of Huntington.  There are no words to adequately express our thanks to Dr. Dilip Nair.  His care and compassion far exceed anything that this family has experienced and we will always be grateful.  Services will be held at Beard Mortuary on Wednesday July 8, 2020. Due to an increase in COVID cases visitation will restricted to immediate family and will begin at 12:00 pm with service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Gordon Rutherford officiating.  Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park.
