Joseph “Joey” Matthew Vernetter, 26 of the Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Sunday, May 21, 2017. He was born February 23, 1991 in Huntington, W.VA. the son of Albert Jody and Tammy Jean Hughes. He was an apprentice electrician. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend, Kayla Davis; two sons, Kyler Xavier Vernetter and Zayden Vernetter; sisters, Ashley Nicole Hughes and Kressa LeAnn Hughes; aunts and uncles, Emma Lou (Robert) Sexton, Amanda Dawn (Randall) Dick, Cathy Ann Vanhoose and Annie Rose Basenback, Jason Lee Vernetter, Danny (Linda) Hughes, Jerry Hughes, Earl Hughes and Bobby Hughes; one niece and nephew, Autumn and Josh Hughes and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. Burial will follow in Rosemont Memorial Gardens, Huntington, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time.
