David Richard Bowen, 71, of Barboursville, went to be with the Lord October 26, 2016, in Saint Mary's Medical Center. Memorial graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Parsons Cemetery, Barboursville, officiated by Pastor D. Webb, of the Sybene Baptist Church, of which Mr. Bowen was a member. Burial will follow. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Edith Mae Bowen. Three brothers, Ervin, Dennie and Walter Bowen, and two sisters, Ellafaye Blake and Phyllis Garner also preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Sharon Martin; and one daughter, Tammy Bowen Parsons all of Barboursville; one sister, Sharon Slone and two brothers, Jim Bowen and Larry Bowen all of Huntington; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and a special cousin, Gerald Bowen also of Huntington. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
