Obituary
Calvin Eugene Gue, Sr., 72, of
Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022, in the Emogene Dolin Jones
Hospice House, Huntington. He was born August 25, 1949 in Cabell County, WV
a son of the late Arlin and Lula Mae Christian Gue. He was also preceded in
death by two sisters, Helen Gue Phelps and Janet Gue; and two brothers, Gary
Gue and Randy Gue. Calvin was a truck driver and with his knowledge and
help, his sons were able to start Gue's Auto Service and Salvage. Survivors
include: his wife, Rhonda "Kelly" Young Gue; three daughters, Helen Childers
of Barboursville, WV and Kathy Blake and Laura Gue, both of Huntington; four
sons, Calvin E. (Angie) Gue, Jr. of Lesage and Randy (Destiny) Gue, Aaron
Gue, and Justin Gue, all of Huntington; 29 grandchildren; nine great
grandchildren; a sister, Charlotte Blair Gue of Huntington; his
mother-in-law, Carol Chapman of Glenwood, WV; two sisters-in-law, Beverly
(Jimmy) Chapman and Carissa Chapman, all of Glenwood; three brothers-in-law,
Max Phelps of Lesage, WV, Jerry (Marie) Young of Utica, OH, and Jason Young
of Glenwood; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime good friend, Jackie
Smith. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.
