Obituary
Lucille Stephens Hornbuckle
Lucille Stephens Hornbuckle, 81 of Huntington passed
away December 22, 2007 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born March
31, 1926 in Uniontown, AL, a daughter of the late Rev. Ezell and Nancy
Johnson Stephens. Lucille was a Baptist by faith, a homemaker and a former
resident of Logan, WV for over 50 years. She was also a member of
Evergreen Chapter 43 O.E.S. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev.
Edmond Horn buckle II, one son, Moses Hornbuckle, two sisters, Oneal
Pryor, and Rosie Brown, and three brothers; Arthur, Bryant, and Isaac
Stephens. Survivors include one daughter, Jacqueline Hornbuckle, six sons;
Fred Hornbuckle (Joyce) Edmond Hornbuckle III ( Jeannetta), Keith
Hurnbuckle (Anita) all of Huntington, Michael Hornbuckle (Leigh Ann) of
Nashville, TN, Jerome Hornbuckle (Quandra) of Dunbar, WV, and William
Hardy (Earlene) of Denver, CO., one sister Annie Mae Ward (Rev. John Ward)
of Marion Junction, AL., 19 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. A
host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Funeral Services will be
conducted at 2:00pm Wednesday at Young Chapel AME Church with Pastor
Martha Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00noon until
service time at the church. Burial will be Saturday at the Stephens Family
Cemetery in Uniontown, AL.
