Gladys Elsie Schofield

Gladys Elsie Schofield, 98, of Huntington, Guyandotte widow of Preston Lee Schofield passed away November 4, 2007 at Heritage Center, Huntington. Gladys “Peggy” Schofield was born May 25, 1909 in Stafford, Ohio, a daughter of the late Pearl (Smith) Danford. She was preceded in death by one son, Gene Schofield, one brother, John Cozzens, and one sister Sylvia Stephens. Survivors include her brother & sister in law Charles & Aleta Cozzens of Columbus, OH., one son & daughter in law Neal & Sue Schofield of Woodridge, VA, and one daughter and son in law Joan & Billy Rose of Huntington., nine special grandchildren; David & Dorie Schofield, Pam & Greg Guillaume, Mike & Linda Schofield, Danny and Terri Schofield, Nanette & Bret Porter, Larry & Lois Schofield, Leanna & Charles Ruley, Bobby & Angie Rose, Sherri & Eric Hagley, and 18 very special great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews, neighbor-hood family friends who truly loved her. A special thanks to Heritage Center Family for the loving care of “Gladie” She loved everyone of you, especially your hugs, kisses, and kindness. Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 noon Friday at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home.
