Ella Mae Heaberlin
(December 25, 1922 - May 22, 2010)



Ella Mae Heaberlin, 87 of Huntington, passed away May 22, 2010 at Imogene Dolin Hospice House. Known to most as Mammaw or Granny, she was a retired homemaker and much-adored babysitter who selflessly dedicated her entire life to caring for children. She was predeceased by her husband William Heaberlin, daughter Peggy Mae Thompson, and son Leslie Gartin. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Sue Gooderham (Lloyd Gooderham) and grandchildren Brenda Gooderham Clark (Brian Hanzel) and Crissy Gooderham Callicoat (Rob Holcomb); four grandchildren she raised as her own, Robert Inscoe (Regina Inscoe), Tamara Inscoe Johnson (Thomas Poff), Mona Thompson Catlett, Sonya Thompson Alberts (Buddy Alberts); great-grandchildren Aaron Michael Johnson, Heather Danielle Inscoe, Nathan Mills, Chase Callicoat, Sheena Terry McComas (Ryan McComas), Scott Terry, Brittany Alberts, and Matthew Alberts; two great-grandchildren she helped raise, Ashley Howard and MaKayla Howard; one great-great grandchild, Emilee McComas; and her special friend, Keith Conrad. Funeral Services will be held 11am Wednesday at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bowen Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
