Timothy A. Steele
(July 23, 1952 - September 2, 2010)



Timothy Alan “Tim” Steele, 58, of Huntington, walked through the Gates of Heaven on September 2, 2010. Funeral services will be held, 11 am, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Kellogg Independent Holiness Church of God, 4430 Piedmont Road with Pastor Roger Mooney officiating. Interment will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. Tim was born July 23, 1952 in Huntington a son of the Late Leonard and Jesse A. Stevenson Steele. He was the owner of Pavement Maintenance Contractors, Inc., a lifetime member of the Kellogg Independent Holiness Church of God where he served as Trustee. He had also been a dispatcher for the Huntington Police Department, and a Peer Counselor for WV Center for Independent Living. In addition to his parents he was preceded by three sisters, Nancy Jo Steele, Judy Hager and Sharon Steele; two brothers, Richard L. Steele and Mike Steele. Tim is survived by his wife, Frankie Mae Steele; two sons, Roger (Ginger) Martin and Christopher Steele all of Huntington; one daughter, Jamie (Robert L. Jr.) Bryant of East Lynn, WV; four grandchildren, Destanie Martin, Bradley Martin, Bailey Bryant and Emma Bryant and one sister Margaret (Roy) Bartram of Lavalette, WV. He is also survived by two special friends, Charley Bailey and Joan Ratcliff. A multitude of church friends and family also survive. “Frankie being in my life was a blessing and I wouldn’t have been here as long without her.” Visitation will be 6 to 9 pm, Friday at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
