Garland Thomas Turner
(January 22, 1935 - February 15, 2011)

Garland (Ducky) Thomas Turner, 76, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday Feb. 22 at Full Gospel Assembly Church, with Bishop Samuel Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. He was born January 22, 1935, in Logan, WV to the late Garland and Anna Fields Turner. He was a retired chemical worker for BASF, Inc, in Huntington. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Welton and David Turner and one sister Helen Turner. Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Debra; four sons Garland Turner, Vincent Turner, Charles Jones and Andre Hairston; six daughters, Selena Suber, Felecia Hart, Carole Blount, Shelia Turner and Shena Turner, and Leticia Jones; He is also survived by 3 brothers, Herbert Turner, William Turner, and Ivory Turner, 3 sisters, Jean Turner, Faye Williams, and Freda Harris. 25 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to time of service at the church. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
