Bobbie Jean Clarke
(August 27, 1943 - July 6, 2012)

Bobbie Jean Clarke 69 of Huntington, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012. She was born August 27, 1943 in Bluefield, WV to the late Dr. Hannibal D. & Verona Clarke. She was raised in Williamson, WV were she attended school and graduated from Liberty High School. She was also a graduate of WV State College. Bobbie Jean was active in her community; she was a member of the First Baptist Church for 30 years were she was involved in the Woman's Ministry and the Usher Board. She was a member of the Links and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Bobbie was a loving daughter and cared for her mother for a number of years until she had to seek help outside of the home for her own health began to fail. She is survived by her mother Verona Clarke who is 103 years old. She was preceded in death by her father Dr. Hannibal D. Clarke and one sister Joel Clarke. We want to give thanks to Sabrina, Renee, Judy and Trina, also thanks to Marshall who kept up the lawn and also a former employee Anthony Ziegler of 16 years, a loving and caring friend for 10 years Doris Mayo. Services will be 11:00A.M. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, with Pastor Donta' Jackson, officiating, Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6-8:00PM Friday at Ferrell- Chambers Funeral Home.
