Keith Hornbuckle
(September 7, 1957 - January 25, 2013)

P.M. Keith Hornbuckle 32°, 55 of Huntington, WV passed away on January 25, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born September 7, 1957 in Logan, WV., a son of the late Rev. Edmond Hornbuckle II and Lucille Stephens Hornbuckle. Keith graduated from Logan High School, where he enjoyed playing football in 1975. He chose to continue his education at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and graduated with a degree in Business in 1979. Keith enjoyed life and was always honest about his opinions and beliefs. Keith was an Area Supervisor at CSX Corporation. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Huntington, WV. He was also a member of Alexander Freeman Lodge #2. A 32nd Degree Mason in Tri-State Concisory #133, and a member of The Royal Arch Knight Templer Masonary. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Anita L. Hornbuckle, and his brother Moses Hornbuckle (Patricia), both of Huntington, WV. He leaves to celebrate his life: one daughter, Sherrone Hornbuckle-Adams, Esq. (Derrick), two very special step-daughters, Dr. Feon Smith (Tony), both of Huntington, WV; and Tara Thomas (George), of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. One sister, Jacqueline Hornbuckle; One sister-in-law, Patricia Hornbuckle; four brothers, Fred Hornbuckle (Joyce); Edmond Hornbuckle III (Jeannetta), all of Huntington, WV; Michael Hornbuckle (Leigh Anne) of Nashville, TN; Jerome Hornbuckle (Quandora), of Lake Jackson, TX; and William Hardy (Earlene) of Denver, CO. Three aunts, Anne Mae Ward (Rev. John Ward) of Marion Junction, AL; Katherine Stephens, both of Uniontown, AL; and Betty Stephens of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Two uncles Gospia Pryor of Detroit, MI; and Dave Flannagan of Bessemer, AL. Eight nephews: Frederick Hornbuckle II, of Jacksonville Beach, FL; Lieutenant Colonel, Scott Hornbuckle (Paolla) of San Diego, CA; Jay Hornbuckle of Washington, DC; Michael Hornbuckle II of Altoona, PA; MSgt, Michael T. Hornbuckle (Terri Jo) of Vacaville, CA; MSgt, Brian Hornbuckle (Laura) of San Antonia, TX; Cedric Hornbuckle of Greensboro, NC; and Sean Hornbuckle of Huntington, WV. Five Nieces: Dr. Lindsey Lampkin (Ben) of Marietta, GA; Alexis Hornbuckle of Lexington, KY; Marva Hornbuckle, Rachele Brown, and Kara Hornbuckle, all of Huntington, WV. Keith was a wonderful Pa Pa to his special buddy, Jolon Adams, Ashley Gillenwater, and Alisha Smith of Huntington, WV; Tanisha Thomas and David Thomas of Reynoldsburg, OH. A host of great-nephews, great-nieces, and friends also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Huntington, WV. With the Reverend Donte´ Jackson, officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Masonic Rites conducted by Alexander Freeman lodge #2 F&AM, PHA. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the church.
