Kevin Andrew Tierney
(July 4, 1957 - May 12, 2013)

Kevin Andrew Tierney, 55, of Huntington died May 12, 2013 from injuries sustained in an accident. He was the son of the late Janice Louise and Vincent Patrick Tierney. Kevin was born July 4, 1957 in Huntington, West Virginia. Kevin is survived by his brothers, James (Nancy) Tierney of Charleston WV, Timothy Tierney of Charlotte NC and sisters Colleen King of Charlotte NC, Anne Tierney of Milledgeville, Georgia and Bridget Tierney also of Charleston as well as nine nieces and nephews, one great niece, one great nephew, and a special companion JoAnn Hastings. Kevin received his education in Huntington at Our Lady of Fatima School and Huntington East High School. He was independently employed locally. He was an active member at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Kevin was a friendly, caring individual with a good sense of humor. He enjoyed working with his hands, hunting, fishing, auto racing and practical jokes of any sort. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park. Friends may call from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. Arrangements by Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
