Willa Mae
Turner
(December 24, 1932 - March 3, 2019)

Willa Mae Turner "Willie", 86, of
Huntington, WV passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at St. Mary’s Medical
Center. She was born on December 24, 1932 in Macon, GA to the late parents,
Samuel James Perkins and Lizzie (Jordan) Perkins. She is preceded in death,
along with her parents, her husband, Edward Vernell Turner; daughter,
Angelica “Ann” Turner; son, Christopher Gene Turner, sister, Lizzie
Perkins-Richardson; and grandson, Caleb Turner. She leaves behind to
cherish her memory; daughters, Doresia “Cookie” Turner-Goodson, Pamela Sue
Turner, Urania E. Turner-Gilmore (Ronald); and son, Edward Von Turner (Shirl).
Also surviving is her sister, Ethel B. Perkins-Pierson; 12 grandchildren:
Mikki Harbison (Keith), Malann Turner (Natalie), Micheal Turner, Mitchell
“Sam” Turner (Kim), Jerome "Mitch" Goodson (Katie), Steven Goodson
(Christa), Christopher A. Thompson, Maeghan E. Turner-Gilmore, Chandler
Turner and Carrington Turner; great-grandchildren: Natiah Danielle Turner,
Olivia Turner, Xavier Quintrell, Joshua Hinchman, Amilia Bailes-Hurt
(Duane), Camille Tuner, Quenton Avery Sheffield, Jyles Goodson, Ethan
Goodson, Kenya Turner and Sameeka “Sammie Mae” Turner; numerous
great-great-grandchildren; special friend Mildred Pierson-Atwell and special
nephew, Gary Perkins (Carita), other nephews, nieces, cousins and other
family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon,
Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Full Gospel Assembly with Bishop Samuel R. Moore
and Pastor Gary Perkins, officiating. Family will welcome friends from 6:00
- 8:00 P.M., Friday, March 15, 2019 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home and at
11:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial
Gardens, Huntington.
