Shepherd Gale Singleton,
62 Years, 10 Months and 29 Days, of Huntington, WV returned to the arms of God on Monday, January 24, 2022. She was born on February 26, 1959 in Huntington, WV. to the late William Virgil Howard and Barbara Singleton Brown. She was a graduate of Huntington High School (Pony Express). During this time when she could have chose to enjoy keeping up with her peers. She found herself making the best decision for her life by surrendering to the will and voice of God. On September 20, 1975, Gale received the Holy Ghost at the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ. Under Pastor Samuel C. Graves. While attending, she joined the choir under the direction of the late Minister Dorsey Bass. She really enjoyed singing praise and worship to God. Gale was such an amazing and caring person. She not only helped take care of her Great Grandmother (Momma) who raised her, she would help out throughout the community as well with her entire family. Gale was a graduate of the Huntington School of Beauty Culture where she really enjoyed being a hairstylist. Following graduation she took employment with Soul Scissors. Gale's passion for haircare was shown to anyone and everyone who was in need. But, her talents didn't end there because she took great joy being a sports team mom, working with the elderly, helping out with outreach events, her drawing skills, being a seamstress, among so many other gifts and talents that we all have enjoyed and will truly cherish and miss. Gale have now left her earthly home to be rejoined with her parents Virgil and Barbara; grandmother Bernice Singleton; great grandmother Janie Barnes; granddaughter Juliana Smith; aunts Wanda Stewart, Judy Howard, and Marion Jackson; uncles Ricky Singleton and Leroy Barnes; siblings Troy and Tony Howard; nephew Shawntique "Scooter" Whitfield. She leaves to celebrate her life her children Tashema Singleton-Smith, Jason Singleton ( Patrina), and Jerry Singleton; Honey Bunny Curtis B.; granddaughters Haleigh Christian (Brett), Jamyla Smith, Desira and BreOnea Singleton, Aurora Albright Singleton, Veya Singleton, and Elisha; grandsons Lekiem, Joshua, and David Smith, Payton Singleton; great grandsons Grayson and Parker Christian; siblings Jerry (Sherry) Howard, Andre and KC Howard, Andre and Lynn Brown; Aunt's Donna Gail Howard and Isabell Barnes; Uncles Donald Sr. (Peggy) Singleton and Wendell Singleton; nephews Donta Whitfield and SGT. Lafonso Barnes; nieces SeFonia Whitfield, Ashley and Makayla Howard, Kushawnda Zeigler, Alexis Howard and LaQuitta Scurry (Jai) and a host of great nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Home-Going Service will be conducted 1:00 P.M, Friday, February 4, 2022 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, WV with Pastor Anthony Stradwick officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M to 1:00 P.M, Friday, February 4, 2022.
