Obituary

William H. “Bill” Woodard, 82, of Kilgore Creek Road, Milton passed away Saturday, June 09, 2007 in St. Mary’s Medical Center after a short illness.  Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, June13, 2007 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Dolen officiating.  Burial will follow in Culloden Cemetery.  He was born August 3, 1924 in Cabell County, a son of the late Charlie S. and Ilma V. Woodard.  He is also preceded in death by one brother, Charlie S. “Clint”; three sister, Frances Woodard, Mildred Ball and Edith Shirkey.  He is survived by two brothers, Jackie and Buck Woodard both of Milton; four sisters, Mary and Beverly Woodard both of Milton, Elsie Wroten of St. Albans and Pat Woodard of Scott Depot; two nephews, Tracy and Kelly S. Woodard, who he helped raise.  Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Heck Funeral Home, Milton and one hour prior to service on Wednesday at the church.
