Rev. Ernest “Whitey” Harshbarger, 79, of Ona, the beloved husband of 50 years to Wanda Harshbarger went to his Heavenly Home on March 15, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 18, 1932, a son of the late Earl and Della Hodges Harshbarger. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Leonard and Harold and three sisters, Irene Eloise and Neva. Whitey was a minister for 43 years and retired from AC&F with 32 years of service. In addition to his wife, Wanda, he is survived by one son, Nathan of Ona; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kevin and Tera Stapleton of Barboursville, Rick and Alisa McFann of Lesage and Dwight and Tamala Ryder of Milton; seven grandchildren, Alexis and Donavan Dillon, Brandie and Breyanna McFann, Katie and Cameron Wesson and Kaden Ryder; two great grandchildren, Gracelyn McFann and Steel Annas and one sister, Opal Shepard of Milton. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with the Rev. Pete Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 17th at the Funeral Home.
