Raymond Allen Miller, 90, of Hurricane, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at Genesis Putnam. He was born February 14, 1923 in Lincoln County, WV, a son of the late Floyd and Minnie “Florence” Miller. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Miller and four brothers, Carl, Junior, Cabell and Denver. Mr. Miller is a veteran of the US Army, Navy and Air Force, having served during WWII in the South Pacific while in the Army. He was a Prisoner of War and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 139, Milton. He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Miller-Linville and her husband, Stephen of Hurricane; granddaughter, Kaitlynn; one brother, Eugene Miller of TX; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff members of Genesis Putnam and Kanawha Hospice for your wonderful care, kindness and support. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 at Forest Memorial Park Mausoleum, Milton with Pastor Don Reynolds officiating.
