Obituary
Charles L. Irwin,
87, of Milton, WV, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Heartland of
Riverview in South Point, OH. Funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Chelcie
Gibson officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. prior to the
service at the funeral home. A private burial will be held in Lunsford
Cemetery, Milton. Charles was born July 9, 1926 in Mason County, WV, a son
of the late Charles H. Irwin and Corba Meadows Carpenter. He was also
preceded in death by his wife, Stella Marie Irwin; one son, David Irwin and
a brother, Napoleon Irwin. Charles retired from Blenko Glass after 44 years
of service. He also enjoyed repairing knives and hunting. He is survived by
one daughter, Barbara Fisher and her husband, Harry of Milton; one stepson,
Dallas Gibson and his wife, Arvena of Milton; one daughter-in-law, Jane
Irwin of Milton; six grandchildren, Teresa Fisher, Lea Ann Duffield, Kevin
Irwin, Andrew Irwin, Jason Gibson and Justin Gibson; 13 great grandchildren;
and two great-great grandchildren.
