Harland D. Smith

Harland D. Smith, 74, husband of Nellie “Jane” Smith, of Milton passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at his home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Neal Cemetery, Milton with Mr. William M. Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Neal Cemetery. Harland was born May 11, 1940 in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late William Garfield and Nevada Ann Edwards Smith. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nyoka Davis and Delana Baker; one brother, Victor Smith; and one son-in-law, Roy Landis. In addition to his wife, Jane, Harland is survived by one son, Dale G. (Jennifer) Smith of Ona; two daughters, Dolletta Sue Smith of Milton and Carlesie Landis of Ona; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren (and one on the way; and one brother, Douglas Smith of Milton.
