Clodene Donna Stratton
November 7, 1929 ~ June 8, 2017

Clodene Donna Johnson Stratton, 87, of Milton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2017.  She was born November 7, 1929 in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Ishmael and Ella Morrison Johnson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, L. Denver Stratton; a grandson, Jeremy Chapman; five sisters, Ruby Johnson, Francis Vititoe, Hattie Vititoe, Halcy Payton and Opal Ellis; two brothers, Ishmael Johnson, Jr and Lonnie Johnson; and an infant brother.  Mrs. Stratton was a member of Pleasant Valley FWB Church for 57 years, where she taught Sunday school for over 30 years.  She was also a member of the Cabell-Wayne Association of the Blind.  She loved to sing gospel music and play it with her guitar.  She is survived by one son, Larry Stratton of Milton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Donald Chapman of Milton and Donna and James Harper of Milton; three grandchildren, Keith Chapman and his wife, Beth of Ona, Christy Harper and Brent Harper, both of Milton; five great grandchildren, Hannah, Kyndra, Brealynn, Carter and Braxton and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.  Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10 at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Mayes officiating.  Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock.  The family would like to thank the staff at Cabell Health Care Center for the care they provided to Clodene.
