Obituary

Ward Camp, Jr.
(July 12, 1927 - August 5, 2018)



Ward Camp, Jr., 91, of Ashton, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Teays Valley Center, Hurricane.  He was born July 12, 1927 in Mason County, WV, a son of the late Word and Garnett Hawthorne Camp.  He was also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.  Jr. was retired from the US Postal Service, having been a mail carrier in Milton for 30 years.  He was also a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean War.  He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Sowash Camp; daughter, Regina Ann Driscoll of Ashton; son, Alan (Terry) Camp of Glenwood; six grandchildren, Emily Hill, Jacob Camp, Zachary Camp, Sheridan Camp, James Mayes and Steven Driscoll; two great grandchildren, Easton Hill and Kylee Hill; sister, Augusta (Clifford) Chapman of Ashton; brother, William (Barbara) Camp of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Long officiating.  Burial will follow in Pete Meadows Cemetery, Glenwood.
