ObituaryLew Charles Burgess LEW CHARLES BURGESS, 77, of Huntington, passed away at his residence, Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at his residence. He was the widower of Redith Mae Gue Burgess who passed away in 1979. He leaves behind, a longtime friend and loving companion Donna Hager and her son Jason and his daughter Kalley. Lew was born on August 8, 1929 to the late, Anthony and Electra A. Jones Burgess, in Huntington WV. In addition to his wife and parents, Lew was preceded in death by five brothers, Audra Lucas, Jack Burgess, James Burgess, Harley Burgess, Clarence Tunney and three sisters, Lillie Adkins, Rose Burgess, and Pearl Burgess. He was retired from Steel of West Virginia in Huntington and was a Veteran of WWII while serving in the U.S. Army. He was also of member of the Guyandotte VFW 9738. He is survived by one daughter and son. Mrs. Deborah K. Nicholas, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Lew C. Burgess Jr, of Barboursville. Also surviving are granddaugters, Katie Mae Burgess, Heather Nichols, grandson, Jonathan Nichols, one great grandson, Liam Nichols. Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2007 from 6-8pm, with a Memorial service following at 8:00pm at HENSON MORTUARY. Officiating will be the Rev. David Cardwell. Burial will follow at a later date at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, where there will be Military Graveside services conducted. Henson Mortuary is in charge of arraignments
