JAMES MICHAEL BEACH
(November 22, 1944 - November 12, 2012)

James Michael Beach, 67 of Ona, WV passed away, Monday, November 12, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born November 22, 1944 in Huntington, WV the son of Margaret Scott Beach of Barboursville, WV and the late Herold Beach. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Beach. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV with Rev Ron Burnsworth and Rev. Todd Godby and Rev. Terry Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Cherry Pinson Beach and one daughter, Mallory Beach both of Ona, WV.  He is survived by one sister, Becky Poynter and son, Logan of Huntington, WV; one sister-in-law, Rita Keefer and son, Matt of Barboursville, WV. Mike loved golf, was active in PTA, T-ball and basketball coach, active in track and wrestling, a member of the Brain injury Group and the WV Organ Donors Society. He was also a member of the Barboursville Baptist Church where he was past president of the American Baptist Men, Trustee, Sunday School Superintendent and a member of the Finance Board.  He was a 1963 graduate of Huntington East High School and always served on the reunion planning committee, attended Marshal University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mallory Beach c/o First Century Bank Rt. 60 East Huntington attn: Shanna McClure.
