DALLAS HOWARD JUDE
(November 6, 1932 - August 15, 2013)

Dallas Howard Jude, 80, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Blackberry City, WV, passed away at home on Thursday, August 15, 2013. He was born November 6, 1932, in Blackberry City, WV, the son of the late, David C. and Stella Mae Butler Jude. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired teacher at Matewan High School and a member of Matewan Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Hatfield, Rosalie Huffman and Arlene Hatfield; three brothers, Fenton, Edwin and Adlai Jude.  He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Geraldine Smith Jude of Huntington, WV; one son, David C. Jude (Lori) of Huntington, WV; one daughter, Vickie Ann Savage (Matt) of Staunton, VA; one sister, Betty Blankenship (Jim) of Columbus, OH;  two brothers, Melbourne Jude (Brenda) and Harold Jude both of Blackberry City, WV; four grandchildren, Benjamin D. Jude, Amy E. Jude, Adam B. Honaker and Kelly A. Savage and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the Matewan Missionary Baptist Church with Pastors Carl Butler and Don Matney officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Matewan Missionary Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville and Chambers Funeral Services, Matewan, WV is caring for the family.
