Rev. James Gilbert Mays, 91 of Proctorville, OH; graduated from this life into Heaven on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Morning Pointe of Franklin, IN. He was born December 24, 1927 in Huntington, WV the son of the late, Paul E. and Teshie Garrett Mays. He was a retired Boilermaker from CSX Railroad, former pastor of Apostolic New Life Tabernacle, Wayne, WV, member of Apostolic Life Cathedral in Huntington, a recent member of Liberty Tabernacle, Whiteland, IN. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Eugene Mays and his wife of 73 years, Bettalee Krantz Mays. He is survived by, two daughters, Judy Loudermilk of Acworth, GA and Lisa (Fred) Ray of New Whiteland, IN and daughter-in-law, Teresa Mays of Milton, WV; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-eight great-grandchildren and a host of family, church family and friends. Celebration and Home-going Services will be on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Apostolic Life Cathedral, Huntington, WV with Bishop E.S. Harper officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday at the church. A family burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.
