Troy William Stamper, 95 of Huntington, WV passed away, Tuesday, December 17, 2019 in the Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born, June 17, 1924 in Morehead, KY the son of the late, James Nelson and Golda Myrtle Boyd Stamper. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Fae (Dingess) Stamper; one son, Troy Stamper, Jr; one sister, Claoma Stamper and two brothers, Homer and Clinton Stamper. He was a retired machinist, coal miner a maintenance worker at Stone and Thomas Department Store and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by one son, James W. Stamper (Christa) and one daughter, Jacquelyn Williams (William) of Huntington, WV; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 East Pea Ridge Rd. Huntington, WV. The family will receive friends two hour prior to services on Saturday at the mortuary.
