ObituaryCorey Cooper, 24, of Indianapolis,
Indiana, formerly of Huntington, WV, departed this life on September 16th,
2019. He was born January 8, 1995 in Dayton, OH to Marcus Cooper and
CaSaundra Toby. He is proceeded in death by one miscarried child, his
paternal grandfather Marcus “Jack” Cooper Sr., his maternal grandparents
Linda Bayes and Beverly Mannon. One maternal uncle, Richard Bayes.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife, Paula Cooper and
their two children, Mia Cooper and Corey “Marcus” Cooper Jr. His
parents Marcus (Cindy) Cooper of Huntington, WV. CaSaundra (Richard) Toby of
St. Albans, WV. Four sisters Alexis Cooper, Kiersten Cooper, Hailey and
Victoria Toby. Two brothers Richard Desjardins and Markel Humphrey.
Grandparents Deborah Cooper, Mary Ann (Ken) Godbey, and Richard (Florence)
Toby. A special paternal aunt, cousin, and uncle Stephanie, Kamryn, and Taze
Thomas. A special cousin Joshua Grant of Huntington. A niece October
Desjardins. Aunts and uncles Ruth Fizer, Angie (Jesse) Simmons, Chuck
(Amanda) Mannon, Robert Mannon, and special Uncle Raymond Bayes. And a host
of cousins. Mother and Fathers In law Valleri (Clarence) Rawls, Paul
Newcomb. Grandparent-in-laws Della (John) Williamson. Brother and sister in
laws John (Gena) Newcomb, Brandi (Tyler) Bledsoe, Dakota (Sarah) Rawls, all
residing in Gilbert, WV, and Kattie (Billy) Plaster of Tennessee. Nieces and
nephews Lexzee, Knoah, LillyAnn, Bentley, and Brody. And a very close,
personal friend, Antonio Reeves of Gary, Indiana. Corey was a member
of the Baptist faith. Corey was a devoted husband, dad, son, brother,
grandson, nephew, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and
friends, watching sports, but most of all spending time with his kids. Corey
will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Services will be held at
Henson & Kitchen Funeral Home in Barboursville, WV. A viewing on Saturday
September 21st with funeral following Sunday, September 22nd. (Times will be
available Friday September 20th.)
