Kathy Jane Simmons Willis, 69 of Huntington, WV died after a year-long battle with cancer. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1975 and received her Master's degree in nursing from Marshall University in 1994. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Mac and Jean Hundley Simmons; one sister, Dianna Lee Simmons; and one brother, Harry Richard Simmons. Kathy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Howard "David" Willis of Huntington, WV her three children, Matthew Willis of Huntington, WV, Michael Willis (Angel) of Huntington, WV and Kathryn Mack (Nathan) of Hurricane, WV; eight grandchildren, Gabriel, Adam, Kaylee, Elijah, Guy, Joseph, Lillian and Charles; one sister, Brenda Simmons Huntington, WV; one brother, Thomas Mac Simmons (Tammara) of Huntington, WV; and one sister-in-law, Belinda Simmons of Jamacia, VA. There will be a private memorial service held for the family at a later date. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park in Huntington, WV. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E.
