Robert "Bob" Eugene Childers, 70 of Milton, West Virginia passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born June 26, 1951 in Huntington, WV; son of the late Lester Eugene and Joann Church Childers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony Childers, Steve Childers and Jim Childers. He was a teacher at Ona Elementary for 35 years. In addition to teaching, he was an avid bowler and loved to hunt and fish. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Lynn Childers; children, Stephanie Childers and Travis Childers; granddaughter, Leeara Thompson; sisters in law, Dee Childers, Cindy Childers, Debbie Childers; and a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff at the oncology department at HIMG and a special thank you to Dr. Damian Silbermins for your love and care. Funeral services will be conducted at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV 25705 on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time at the mortuary on Friday.
