Stella Reed
(March 2, 1920 - April 11, 2013)

Mrs. Stella M. Reed, 93, of Huntington, WV died on April 11, 2013, in Hudson, NY with loved ones at her side. Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church by Father Jim Sobus. A visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow the service at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Reed was born March 2, 1920 in London, England, a daughter of the late Sgt. John B. and Lilias G. Keerans. She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen K. Stephenson. She served in the U.S. Navy in WWII, as a yeoman, and was a charter member of WAVES National. She was a former secretary at Marshall University, was past president of Huntington Centennial Toastmasters Club and a member of Guyanodotte Poets. She was a member of Beverly Hills Women's Club and an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Ullman and Charlene Gurian of New York, and Stella C. Reed of New Mexico; two nephews, Conley Stephenson of Ohio and Michael Stephenson of Kentucky. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Lara & Elizabeth Karic, Evelyn & Joseph Ullman, and Branwyn Pinkerton as well as five great-grandchildren, Allia & Ivan Karic-Black, Alexander and Graydon Brenner and Ilora Pinkerton.
