Helen Elizabeth Toothman
(October 24, 1925 - October 21, 2015)

MRS. HELEN PETERS TOOTHMAN, 89, made her joyful walk into Heaven on July 21, 2015 from her residence at Woodlands Retirement Community in Huntington, West Virginia. Helen is survived by three children, her daughter Mary Beth Toothman Hesson and her husband Gary of Proctorville, Ohio, her son Robert Jared Toothman and his wife Billie Jo of Hurricane, W.Va., her daughter Nancy Toothman Lewis and her husband Jim of Seattle, Washington; her sister Mary Ann Peters Fisher and her husband Bud Fisher. She has eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Toothman, her oldest daughter Emma Lou Toothman Vineyard, her parents Dover and Emma Peters, her brother Jim Peters and her sister Lois Miller. She was born on October 24, 1925, in Huntington, W.Va. She graduated from Huntington High School and Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Helen very much enjoyed her life. She loved to golf and play tennis in her younger years. Later on she became an avid and competitive bridge player with her dear friends at Woodlands. She was an active and dedicated member of Beverly Hills United Methodist Church. Funeral services are scheduled as follows, visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., immediately followed by the funeral on Saturday, July 25, 2015. at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary in Huntington, W.Va. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Helen's life.
