Carter (Silver Spring, Md.), and Marshall Vincent Carter (Beckley, W.Va.); and three sisters, Mary Faith Carter (Washington, DC.), Anne Carter Moran (Wausau, WI), and Mary Lourdes Carter (New York City). He also dearly loved his nieces, Elaine Moran, Sheila Carter, Madeline Carter, Helen Carter, Jane Jackson, and Elizabeth White; nephews, William Moran, Jamie McQueen, Stewart McQueen; and sisters-in-law, Mary S. McQueen and Elizabeth Grenzebach. He was also predeceased by his brother Thomas More Carter.  A rosary recitation and short prayer service, led by Rev. Paul Yuenger, will be held Sunday, October 22nd, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Huntington W.Va. After the prayer service, family and friends are invited to eulogize John. Visitation will also be held on Sunday at Our Lady of Fatima from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, October 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, followed by a burial at Spring Hill Cemetery in Huntington.
