Obituary

Lisa Dell Nichols
(October 2, 1964 - July 8, 2018)

Lisa passed away July 8, 2018 at her home. She was swiftly carried to Heaven by God's Angels. Through the trials and tribulation of Lisa's life, she always kept her faith and love for and of God in her heart. God gave her the determination, courage and faith to survive in life and provide love to any and all. In Heaven, God will gently guide and support her, as He has in life. Lisa will prove to be the greatest of all His angels. She had a warm and kind heart filled with unconditional love for everyone, especially those in need. She cared for every animal, no matter what, providing care, food, and love. Lisa always helped those in need, regardless of economic or social background. Lisa was blessed by having a priest for a close friend and mentor, Father David Schmitt. He gave her new guidance and strength when she needed it. He, like we, saw the goodness and godliness that was in her heart.
Anyone who knew Lisa, knew how brilliantly talented she was. She had an artistic flair, to say the least, and always added a little color to everything she touched. Lisa loved to draw and paint and never failed to create something beautiful. She loved to rearrange and decorate everything any chance she had, her creative spirit was truly never ending.
Lisa is the daughter of Melvin R. and Delores H. Nichols. She also leaves behind one brother, Melvin R. Nichols, Jr., two sisters, Tina Nichols Spaulding and Bonita Nichols Adkins, and one brother-in-law, Charles D. Adkins. Though she longed for them terribly, Lisa never had children of her own. So she took that love and gave it to her nieces, Katie, Brandi, Sophia, Anna, and Grace; nephews, Josh and Isaac; and great nephews, Jesse, Liam, Jackson, and Judah. Close friends, Sherry Farren and Father Dave will forever be in Lisa’s heart as well as our own. Lisa had many other relatives and friends left behind to morn and miss her greatly.
Predeceasing were her maternal grandparents, Evelyn Chapman and Donald Hughes, and paternal grandparents, Leo and Etta Nichols, infant sister Toni Michelle Nichols, and brother-in-law, Robert Spaulding. Lisa requested to be cremated at her death. Private services and burial will be held and only close family will be in attendance. There will be no public services or showing. Those who knew and loved Lisa will remember her and her caring heart forever and always.
