Tom “T-Bone” Taylor Baker, Jr.,
75, of Huntington, was born December 29, 1942 in Huntington and died Sunday,
October 28, 2018 at his residence with his wife by his side. Tom was
preceded in death by his parents Betty Chadwick Baker Peck and Tom Taylor
Baker, his step-father Hubert Dalton Peck and his sister, Mary Martha Girton.
Tom is Survived by his wife of 52 years Peggy Massey Baker; daughter Susan
Elizabeth Lee Loubet (Thierry Loubet) of Contest, France, two sons Tom
Taylor Baker, III (Tracy Short) of Crown City, OH and Judd Dennis Baker
(Tracy Thompson) of Spotsylvania VA.; Granddaughters Lindsay Dally, Taylor
Baker, Patricia Loubet, and Rebecca Loubet; two grandsons Ben Baker and Gus
Vogtli; one sister, Betty C. Baker of Sarasota, FL; step-sister Cheddie Peck
Ashworth (Gary) of Huntington; step-brother John D Peck (Sandy) of
Huntington and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tom was a graduate
of Huntington High School, Marshall University with a B.S. degree in
Computer Science and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Tom retired
after thirty years from the Nickel Plant in Huntington and coached baseball
for 10 years at Central Babe Ruth. He also worked for over 25 years as a
part-time scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates. There will be a gathering of
family and friends Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at
Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. The family would like to express their sincere
appreciation to the staff of Hospice of Huntington, especially to Jennifer
and Yanet.
