Dorothy Ann Spence
(December 20, 1931 - April 22, 2011)

Dorothy Ann Spence, 79, of Kenova, WV, went home to be with her Lord, on Friday April 22, 2011, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Claude Spurlock. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. Dorothy was born December 20, 1931 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Willis J. Red and Ella Lloyd Fizer. On August 28, 1948, Dorothy married her best friend and lifelong partner, Wallace Albert Spence. In addition to her parents and husband Wally she was preceded in death by a daughter Pamela Ann Spence. Dorothy was a member of the Eastern Star. She worked for C and O Railroad, Wayne County Circuit Clerks Office and recently for Driveline Retail Merchandising. She was associated with Alamonders Square Dance Club and Good Sam Camping Club. Survivors include her son and daughter in law Gerald E. and Kathy Spence of Winchester, VA; daughter and son in law Kellie S. and Michael L. Sibley of Huntington, WV; grandchildren Andrew, Ashlie, Dustin, Matthew and Nathan and his wife Faith; and one great grandchild, Benjamin. She will be missed by her aunts, sister in law, brother in law and many cousins and close friends. Friends may call from 1 pm until service time Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home.
