Helen D. Tatum

HELEN D. TATUM, 81, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011, at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. Helen was born on September 13, 1930, in Cabell County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Ivan and Mabel Matthews James. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John C. Tatum; two brothers Mickey James and Donald C. James, and one niece Jessie Eplion. She is survived by one brother Hugh James of Ona, W.Va., and one sister Ruth Williams of Huntington; two uncles, Herman James of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Roy Matthews of Blue Creek, W.Va.; 15 nieces and nephews, Bridget Davis, Mark James, Tracy Jimison, Mitze Vitale, Brent and Bart Williams, Bobbi Stanley, David, Debbie, Denise, Becky, Shelly, Michelle, Rhonda and Morgan James. Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011, at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Little Victories or the Cabell Wayne Animal Control Shelter.
