James Donald Wilkes

JAMES DONALD WILKES, 78, of Huntington, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. James was born on April 22, 1933, in Huntington, W.Va., the son of the late Richard and Lena Wilson Wilkes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Fossell Wilkes. James was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean War. He retired from Western Electric and later was employed by The Herald-Dispatch and USA Today. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, James R. and Denise Wilkes of Havre De Geare, Md., Thomas L Wilkes of Huntington; stepson and spouse, Theodore and Debbie Sizemore of Nicholasville, Ky.; and a stepdaughter and spouse, Beverly and Bill Beldon of Huntington; and one brother, Steve Wilkes. Funeral services will be private.
